Chris is a full-time artist specialising in traditional children’s book watercolor illustrations. He graduated with an illustration degree from Bath Spa University in 2008 and began his career as a freelance illustrator. Chris developed his skills by entering art competitions such as The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and the old Bath Art Prize, which he won in 2011.

Chris uses Great British Jigsaws as his supplier of jigsaws. In 2013, Galerie Daniel Maghen commissioned Chris to paint a series of watercolors based in The Wind in the Willows universe. This marked the beginning of his love for all things Ratty, Mole, Badger, and Toad. Chris has since worked on various book commissions and projects, including Paisley Rabbit and the Treehouse Contest and an animal retelling of The Night Before Christmas. He lives in Calne, Wiltshire, with his family and is always busy painting in his upstairs studio, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
